防火門的標準?

在香港建築上一直沿用緊英國標準（British Standard)，但直至喺2011年屋宇署 Buildings Department 更新了 Code of Practice for fire safety Building 2011，之後落成的樓宇都要跟最新的歐盟防火標準 European Standard (BSEN 1634)。

英國標準(BS476)和歐盟標準(BSEN1634)有什麼分別？

歐標(BSEN1634)在防火測試上，除了要完成最基本防火功能，還要附合隔熱及防煙測試，所以會比英標(BS476)更嚴謹。

何為合規格的防火門?

完整性 Integrity

在火猛的時候，防火門可指定時間內不會發生變形，
阻隔火勢蔓，爭取逃生時間。

隔熱性 Insulation

有效咁減少傳熱。在指定時間內要滿足：
a) 最高溫度不可超過室溫加180度；
b) 平均溫度不可以超過室溫加140度。

防煙 Smoke Control

當遇上猛火燃燒時，防火條會遇熱膨脹，
填封門扇同門框之間既縫隙，而且門框防煙條可以隔住濃煙通過。

自動關門 Self Closing

在任何時候防火門都能自動關閉，
對防火安全既概念上尤為重要。
